Pewdiepie Injustice Rant

how-do-life-does:

I just found out Scare Pewdiepie season 2 was cancelled because Felix is apparently anti-semetic. Now, here is why this whole thing, including Felix being dropped by Maker, is complete bullshit.

Let me start with saying I myself am Jewish, and have been face to face with real anti-semitism. Real anti-semites are cruel, rude, forceful, ignorant, etc. What Felix did is known as this thing called a joke. Yes, it was a joke in poor taste, but Felix is a good guy and apologised, so there is no place for punishment here. Maker and Yotube are being too strict in dropping him and cancelling his show.

Now, let’s focus on the show. Youtube cancelling his show is shooing away all of the hard work and passion Felix put into this show like he does for everything. Scare Pewdiepie is something really important to Felix, and now all of his (and the crew’s, and Séan’s) tireless work and hours are being treated like it doesn’t matter. I’ve been having some issues with Youtube and this whole Youtube Red thing, so this is the icing on the cake.

Overall, I fail to see completely cruel intention in Felix’s actions, and really appreciate how big he is for apologising. What has this world come to where everything is treated as a worldwide attack?

Tldr; Felix does not deserve to have his hard work crushed because of a JOKE!

Okay hun but listen. There are lines that you don't fucking cross for a dumb YouTube video. Yesterday my little brother came home and told me that this kis in his class had a "Death to All Jews" sign today, because the video was "funny", and they chased my brother the whole day. PewDiePie is a big influence on kids especially, and he knows that.

sweetie-pie-sean answered:

If that story is true, then perhaps the parents of the other child should at least attempt to watch what their kids are doing on the internet. (Don’t say it isn’t possible, because it is.) PewDiePie doesn’t make content for children, and everyone knows that.

Letting a kid watch PewDiePie is like taking them to an adult comedy show; stupid and easily avoidable.

On top of that, if it happened, why didn’t a teacher intervene?

It doesn’t matter whether your content is for children, or even adults for that matter, as fascism is not some tool to throw around for ‘memes’ or to be ‘edgy’. It’s just scumy.

If you really dislike the guy so much, there’s this thing you can do on YouTube to make him go away:

I don’t watch him anyway. I just think the guy should have his channel blocked. Peddling Naziism to children is not a joke.

There are ways to block and monitor what your children see on YouTube. For whatever reason people like to pretend that it’s impossible, but it isn’t. As I said in my last post, allowing your child (or anyone under 18) to watch a PewDiePie video is like consciously walking them into an 18+ comedy show.

If people pay attention to what their kids are watching and simply block users and content that they dislike/don’t agree with, things would be much better.

Or even better, point people like him out to your kids and say, “Hey, you see what he just said? It’s nasty and wrong. Don’t ever say things like that.” THEN block him. Make an example of inappropriate behaviour. However, taking away the voice of someone you don’t like only prevents a conversation from happening.

Conversations are the key tool in changing things.

For example, this conversation we are having right now, will it change either one of our minds? Maybe not. But it’s still a vital part of resolving tense situations in a peaceful manner.

It is true. You can do all sorts of things on computers to make sure what children see is limited to what is appropriate for their age group. Anyone saying that they can’t is just stupid. Just because this is the ‘age of technology’ does not give kids the right to access anything and everything on the internet. And anyone saying you can’t control your children? Ridiculous. And for the last time, he made something called a joke, yes, he went too far, but it was still a joke. He is not trying to peddle naziism or racism or anything else the lovely media tried to portray him as.

So I just found out why YouTube did what they did the reason is because pewdiepie on his channel posted Hitler Anthoms he paid 2 guys in India to hold up signs saying Jews deserve to die and he also did a couple more horrendous things I was so disappointed in him because I had been there since the beginning so I understand it might be a shock but it is true thwart is why YouTube did what they did

sweetie-pie-sean answered:

I’m very well aware of what Felix did. However, what other people seem to not understand is that they were these little things called jokes. You see, some people have trouble understanding this concept.

On top of that, there is this thing called “context”. For example, the context behind his actions on Fiverr was: “People will do terrible things for as little as $5″. He also apologized and owned up to his actions. Every time Felix has been called out for something he’s owned up to it and admitted his fault. Why? Because he recognizes that things sometimes go too far.

Here’s why I’m so pissed about this: Everyone and their mother knows how much time, energy, and money was spent by not only him, but his friends as well, in the making of the season 2 of Scare PewDiePie. This whole thing is not only screwing him over, but also the people who were in it. (Ex.: Mark, Jack, etc.)

YouTube is only pulling this because they’re afraid of people who make it an occupation to be offended for others. (Ethan from h3h3 touched on the topic in this video.)

Anyways, I’m sure this didn’t really make a difference to you, but I felt the need to explain this. What people seem to forget is that Felix is more than just pixels on a screen; he is a human being. No one is perfect. Are some imperfections bigger than others? Absolutely. That doesn’t mean he deserves to have his right to create taken from him.

Thank you and I’m glad I’m not the only person who sees it this way. #savefelix2k17

sweetie-pie-sean pewdiepie felix kjellberg jacksepticeye yeah that's right guys it's not just about Felix but about his friends and the people he cares about
sweetie-pie-sean

Shout out to YouTube and the media for repeatedly fucking Felix over. It’s really fucking cool, yeah, good job guys. Hope you’re fucking proud of yourselves. He’s TOTALLY NOT a HUMAN with FEELINGS. Ha. Haha. SOooooOOOoOOo fucking proudddddd.

sweetie-pie-sean:

Yeah, I mean fuck all the hours he put into Scare PewDiePie Season 2. Like, they don’t even MATTER. Like, AT ALL. FUCK his friends who worked with him too. THEIR time must not matter either, am I right?

*really slow fucking clapping*

(I’d also like to point out that this is sarcasm. Just in case.)

Also: If you unfollow me for supporting Felix, that’s fine. Good-fucking-bye, my dude.

Thank you! I’m glad someone else supports him like I do! And not only the fact that it screwed over Felix but Jack too! Cause as we see on the season 2 poster Jack is a big part of this season. All the hours they put in to it for nothing. And it makes me sad. Cause it’s not like he apologized or anything 🙄

Just wanted to give a MASSIVE thank you to the people that made this project possible! We didn’t know what we were getting into when we started but I couldn’t be prouder of Amy, Kathryn, Tyler, Ethan, Pam, and Robert for pulling together and working towards making something amazing! We made it all by ourselves for you to enjoy and we all couldn’t be happier at the reception! Because without you this wouldn’t be possible!

So thank you all so much for being a part of this and I hope you find all the endings!
